Requirements:

✅ Valid passport
✅ High school diploma or equivalent
✅ Completion of a recognized trade/vocational program
✅ Valid trade certification relevant to the role (Red Seal certification, provincial trade license, or TESDA equivalent for some countries applicants)
✅ Compulsory certification proof if applying for a regulated trade (electrician, plumber, gasfitter, etc. — varies by province)
✅ OSHA, WHMIS, or equivalent workplace safety certification
✅ Fall protection / working-at-heights certification (for roofing, scaffolding, structural work)
✅ Confined space entry training (if applicable to role)
✅ Valid driver's license (if operating vehicles or equipment on-site)
✅ Equipment operation certification (crane, forklift, heavy machinery — if applicable)
✅ Clean criminal record check
✅ Valid passport and eligibility to obtain a Canadian work permit


Physical & Practical Requirements:

✅ Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials (up to [specify weight])
✅ Able to work at heights, in confined spaces, or in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain)
✅ Comfortable with extended standing, kneeling, bending, and repetitive physical tasks
✅ Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, or varying schedules depending on project needs

KEY RESPONIBILITIES:

✅ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
✅ Perform assigned construction tasks according to project plans and safety standards
✅ Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials as required by the trade
✅ Operate hand tools, power tools, and (if certified) heavy machinery/equipment
✅ Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment on-site
✅ Set up and dismantle scaffolding, barriers, and temporary structures as needed
✅ Mix, pour, and finish concrete or other building materials (if applicable to role)
✅ Install, repair, or maintain structural, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems (specify per trade)
✅ Work closely with site supervisors, foremen, engineers, and other trades to ensure project timelines are met
✅ Communicate progress, delays, or issues to the site supervisor promptly
✅ Coordinate with other tradespeople to avoid conflicts and ensure efficient workflow
✅ Assist apprentices or junior workers with tasks (if in a senior/journeyperson role)
✅ Electrician: Install wiring, circuit breakers, and electrical systems; troubleshoot electrical issues
✅ Carpenter: Frame structures, install drywall, doors, windows, and finish carpentry
✅ Welder: Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of metal structures/components
✅ Heavy Equipment Operator: Operate cranes, excavators, bulldozers, or other machinery safely and efficiently
✅ General Labourer: Support skilled tradespeople with material handling, site prep, and cleanup
